Andrew's First Dentist Visit

Andrew had his first dentist visit on May 25th, 2011 with Dr. Cox here in Waco. As with any momentous event, I had to take pictures!

Waiting for Dr. Cox to arrive....(I think he was still a little freaked out from a Sid the Science Kid episode that discussed going to the dentist and drills, etc.)

We ended up with a great visit! We are doing a great job with Andrew and brushing his teeth. Dr. Cox was optimistic that he had plenty of space and should have plenty of room for his permanent teeth which is great news! We are praying Andrew gets David's straight & healthy teeth! :)

Naked Girl

Alyssa LOVES being naked! I think she loves it even more when we have the nodes off (which I imagine are NOT comfortable) and she is totally airing out...

I had to snap a pic of her in all her naked giddiness! (And note that she originally was in the middle of her pink mat...she goes CRAZY and scootches around on the floor...esp. when she is free from clothes and nodes!) :)

Heart Beeps, Nodes and Head Gear

We lovingly refer to the hefty apparatus that is Alyssa's apnea monitor as her "heart beeps". With the machine comes these nodes that are held next to her chest wall and secured by a blue band around her chest that we call her "bra".

Andrew thought it would be fun to try on the gear the other day while it was turned off and we were letting Alyssa's skin breathe...

Mini Concert Performance

Andrew decided he wanted to perform an evening performance for us. Below is the set-up / stage:

Happy 1/2 Birthday to Alyssa!!!!

As mentioned in my earlier post...we DID have a Happy "1/2" Birthday party for Alyssa including cupcakes :)

6 Months and....

On the same day as Andrew's TOT performance, it was Alyssa's 6 month birthday!! Not only was it her 1/2 birthday but she also broke through her first tooth on the bottom... Double WAAH!!! :(

(And btw..since it was her 1/2 birthday... We DID have a mini-party for her!!!) :)

Tuckered out from the excitement...

Alyssa - These past six months have FLOWN by far too quickly!! It's hard to believe you are already 1/2 way through your first year!! You are so precious and smile (almost!) all the time! Everyone loves your pretty smile and how sweetly you respond to them. You LOVE your big brother and light up every time you see him! And he is VERY protective of "our baby" and loves you too!! You are such a Blessing to us!! We love you!!!

TOT "Shine Time" Performance

On Saturday, May 14th, Andrew had his "Shine Time" performance where he and his friends showed off their "TOT skills" to a large audience of parents and family members.

While seated, Andrew insisted I take a picture of all the trophies!

I got tickled seeing that Andrew was the only kid out of about 60 turned backwards gabbing with his friends! :)

SOOOO proud of his trophy!!! This was his "Major Award"! :)

We are sooo proud of our Andrew!! You are growing up to be such a big boy and much too quickly!! I love you!

Andrew's preschool always does fun crafts for different holidays including Mother's day. Below is a picture Andrew colored that he said is actually a picture OF me.

At the bottom of the page, there was a "fill in the blank" section that reads:

This is my mom. She has brown hair and camouflage I think eyes. She is I don't know years old. She is really good at doing her make up on her. I like it when she takes me to the park & zoo...and the museum. I love my mom!

It's always fun and interesting to see yourself through your kiddos eyes!!!!
