Birthday Dinner

November 14th was a busy day! It was Alyssa's birthday, her second year checkup and shots :( plus we had packing to do as we were loading the moving trucks the next morning.

Instead of a "traditional" birthday party, we opted to have a nice dinner at Johnny Carinos. We invited our close friends, the McKown Family, and Uncle Jeff, his girlfriend Anna and her daughter, Allie. Uncle Kelly was in town helping us move, so he was able to celebrate with us. That was pretty special since Alyssa and her Uncle Nee Nee have a special bond :)

Dinner was yummy and the cake was delicious!

When we got home, Alyssa had a few gifts from us.... Most of which she put on at once! I joked that Jersey had nothing on her and her accessories ;)

Happy 2nd Birthday, Alyssa!

Hard to believe our baby girl is 2! Alyssa, you are so sweet and funny! You repeat EVERYTHING anyone says and you follow your brother, Andrew, everywhere :) Our saying these days is, "Monkey see, monkey do." :)
You get a kick from telling us to, "Hold On!" and definitely try to rule the roost ;)
You love to give Mommy "squeeze hugs" and "snuggle face" with Daddy. You like to follow, hug, wrestle and fight with Andrew.
You LOVE your purple baby doll and your "beet beet" (blanket) that Aunt Laura gave you. And MILK! You drink about 1/2 gallon each day... Seriously!
You are so amazing and we just love you to pieces! You are our Princess and we can't imagine life without you! We love, love, love you!

 

Kyndall's Birthday Party

Later that same day, Alyssa attended a birthday party for her best friend, Kyndall. The girls attend daycare together. Being 2, they were a bit overwhelmed by the Chuck E Cheese madness but had fun hitting up the games! Alyssa loved feeding tokens into the machines and actually won 499 tickets! Andrew had more fun playing video games so he was a little upset that his baby sister got way more tickets than him!

Miriam's Birthday Party

On November 10th, we went to Miriam's 6th Birthday Party at Jumping Place.
Andrew and Miriam were "boyfriend and girlfriend" when they were 4. When they were 5, they had cooties. This year they actually took some sweet pictures together again :) We totally adore sweet Miriam and her precious family!

Andrew's - See You Later Party

On Thursday, November 8th, we had a "See You Later Party " for Andrew and Alyssa at the skating rink. Friends included:
Avery Pitts, Kaden Dumas, Jennah and Hannah Adams, Luke and Braden Marking. Friends brought pictures and addresses to keep in touch. The kids had a blast skating and playing games! :)

David was so excited to do his first balloon art... he made a flower for Mommy but Alyssa hijacked it! :)

Nap time and the News

Alyssa usually naps in our bed. Today, before I could get back with her, she had made herself comfortable. Not only did she plan on taking her nap, but she wanted to watch the news first!

Baby Rose

Alyssa got her a new baby as an early birthday present.  She LOVES her Baby Rose! :)

Halloween 2012

For Halloween, we went to the Fall Festival at Columbus Avenue Baptist Church with Jeff, Anna and Anna's daughter, Ally.

I Go Vote!

On October 31, I took Alyssa to go vote with me.  When I said, "We are going to vote", she heard "We are going to a boat."  So she was pretty upset until they gave her a sticker!

Messy Art Party

Andrew attended his friend, Avery Pitts', "Messy Art Party".  It was cold and rainy and.....MESSY! But it sure looked like the kids had a fantastic time! :)

New Home

On October 26, 2012, we went under contract with our new home in Midlothian, Texas!

Grandparent's Night

On October 25th, Woodway Elementary hosted Open House, Grandparent's Night AND the Book Fair!  It was a very busy night but marked as a very special one because Munner came so that she could attend his Grandparent's night :)
