This only took a few minutes and got much worse...I'm essentially allergic to anything that grows outside...even the allergy doctor was impressed! :(

4-29-2012 Cubbies Ceremony
April 29th was Andrew's graduation from Cubbies. That afternoon, David took Andrew fishing to celebrate the occasion and to spend time together.
I stayed at home to get caught up on chores while Alyssa napped....
At church, we got our first "family picture" taken together in months!
Andrew and his best friend, Matthew
Andrew and his buddies, Gianna & Matthew hanging out

What a difference a few short weeks make!!
Alyssa ready for school! :)
After school, we all went to dinner and the kids played outside next to the patio where we ate.
What a Blessing to return to normalcy! :)
4-25-2012
We were so thankful to have things back to normal!! On 4-25-2012, the kids and I enjoyed a trip to the museum together....
Later on when we got home, I caught Andrew reading "Brown Bear" to Alyssa. I loved it!!!!
April 15, 2012 and Rashes
On Sunday, April 15th, Alyssa's back broke out really bad at home. It started at the hospital but the nurses dismissed it. We kept cream on it that day and took her to the doctor the next day. The doctor felt it was a reaction to antibiotics from the hospital. Unfortunately, they had given her several different antibiotics so we don't know which one caused it! Thankfully a few days later it had subsided greatly....

Our baby girl woke up feeling much better and pretty antsy. She wanted to go play so bad but because of her C-Diff, she had to stay quarantined :(
Thankfully, around 4 p.m. we got to head home with our baby girl! All 3 of us were excited to escape the hospital and to get home to our Andrew!!!
April 13, 2012 - Spider Bite...
I had gotten 3 bites a few nights before Alyssa got sick. My calf got more swollen, itchy and bruised looking. Thankfully it never got worse but 3 months later I still have a bruise...strangest thing!
Recovery 4-13-2012
Alyssa made good progress the next day...she was more alert and tuned in to watching tv and interacting with us. We were super excited about this!! She even began introducing herself as "Ally" to the nurses..she'd say "I Ally" :)
Aunt Melinda and Uncle Ed sent a sweet basket and balloons. The picture doesn't reflect it but Ally loved the balloons and bear :)
As the day progressed, our sweet girl smiled more and more and even seemed a bit antsy just laying around....
For dinner, our girl decided to give the pasta a whirl. Her appetite picked up and we were so grateful!
Enjoying time with her bear! She got her IV out and we were all so glad about that!
April 12, 2012
They transferred Alyssa by ambulance to Scott & White Children's in Temple. That night when we arrived, she spiked a fever again and her oxygen levels would dip and her breathing would become more labored. They had to put our sweet girl back on oxygen. At some point, Alyssa threw up all over me (I think maybe due to all the anti-seizure medication they gave her). It wasn't until about 2:30 that morning that David and Andrew left the hospital to go to the hotel room. All the hotel rooms in Temple were booked up so they got a "yucky" hotel room that smelled "funny" according to Andrew! That night was pretty restless for me and Alyssa.
David and Andrew returned around 8:30 the next morning. The nuerologist came in at some point but at that time we didn't realize the most severe issue were were dealing with was the seizure since we had been lead to think the potential colitis was the biggest concern. So there was a lot of confusion and fear!
Poor Alyssa began throwing herself around violently and writhed in pain and would jerk on the iv. She literally wore me out! She was in so much pain and very uncomfortable (picture the exorcist) so after a lot of fussing with the nurses and making some calls to friends, things got hustling and the chief of pediatrics came in. She ordered morphine for Alyssa and our baby girl stayed sedated the majority of the day. Lots and lots of people were praying over our sweet angel!
Later we were able to get out PICU and checked in to room 513. Grammy came to town and she and Aunt Chelle, Shane & Cameron headed back to Waco. Andrew was able to hang out at home rather than the hospital. We missed him TERRIBLY and it broke our heart to be away from him but we knew he had already been through so much we didn't want him to endure any more stress that comes with being in a hospital or having a sick sister....
