First S'mores Experience...

A few days after Alyssa's birthday pics and double ear infection...we had to take her back in and found she had bronchitis and the start of pneumonia too. So, after a couple of days of being holed up in the house...she and I were getting stir crazy and so was Andrew the Friday afternoon/evening he was home.  The weather was going to be cooler that evening...(FINALLY considering it was the end of October!) ... so I thought it would be fun to build a fire/do s'smores.  Mainly because (1) they are yummy but (2) as a mom of 2 kids - I am finding it's hard to keep them both entertained...particularly if one is sick and the other one is bouncing off the walls.

It ended up working and gave us about 20 minutes of fun, mess and another "first" for Alyssa... (and NO I didn't feed her chocolate or marshmellows!) :)
