First Movie and October 2009 so far....

Yesterday, October 3rd, was a big day in the Davlin household. Yesterday, Andrew went to a real movie theater for the very first time! We saw Toy Story I & II in 3D.


Before you think we actually sat through a double feature our first trip to the movie theater - that's not really the case. We planned to get there 1/2 way into Toy Story I (since we have seen it 2,452 times so far) and ended up leaving about 1/2 way through Toy Story II. But nonetheless, it was a great time. Here I'm getting Andrew ready with his 3D glasses on.

Here's me and my little man cheesin' in our 3D glasses. (He didn't end up wearing them for the movie. So I guess he didn't get the full effect of a 3D but oh well... it was David's first 3D movie - so that was a Plus!) :)

Here's is our popcorn thief. The little guy really enjoyed the fat laden, oversalted, trans-fat loaded stuff... but so did we!!! :)

Yesterday was also a big day for rain in Central Texas. Here Andrew is enjoying a fruit juice popsicle while sitting in the entry way watching the rain....

This was about 2 weeks ago. Andrew has really gotten the hang of the playground equipment at our local Chic-fil-a since we frequent it often. His Uncle Jeff works there, so we like to go say "hi"! (AND it's an indoor playground - PERFECT for ultra hot and/or rainy Texas days!)

This is from 2 weeks ago at C&D Hair Creations. Andrew loves Mr. David and has come a long way in his haircutting bravery. Below are some pics from his very first haircut (also done by Mr. David!!!)

SEE? I wasn't fibbing... That boy did NOT like his first haircut!!! (Look at the bottom lip!!! He's a pro!) This was a few days before his first birthday...

Here he was giving our beloved Mr. David a guilt trip and starting to make Mommy feel bad, too!

Back to 2009, this was recently when Uncle Jeff came to stay the weekend with us. As many of you know, I am a CHICKEN when staying by myself when David is out of town, so my sweet brother came to stay with us.

This was last weekend - enter OCTOBER! We had a craft day of painting pumpkins. (Again - he's smiling here, saying "cheese", he's not in pain or anything!) :)

Finally, seems like we may have Fall here in Central Texas. We've had lots of good rain and the weather has cooled off into the upper 70's. A far cry from the glorious Fall weather back East - but we'll take it!!!
