Random Moments in October 2009

Below are some random snapshots taken in October...


Andrew found my weights behind the bedroom door (at least someone is using them! LOL)

A few days later...Andrew was suffering from ANOTHER ear infection. Of course we didn't realize he had an ear infection until his ear drum had ruptured. And this was gross. He's had ear drum ruptures before, but this took it to an whole 'nother level. Not to be too graphic...but it was like how when you have a serious cold/sinus infection/upper respiratory infection - and all the green nasty's come out of your nose...well...this was coming out of his right ear. Yeah - nasty.

So anyways. 4 days into taking the penicillin prescribed - he developed an allergy to penicillin (after being on it probably a 8-12 times in his life...seriously....) He had hives all over him so they switched him to another antibiotic (a liquid "z-pack"). A couple days into that and the hives calmed down - EXCEPT for a huge one that came up on his right lymph node (he had a small one on his left, too). Unreal. And of course, no one had any answers for that but they did confirm that after the 2 antibiotics - he still had a raging ear infection in his right ear.... ugh....

Below is the "hive?" returning on his right side after it had subsided for a couple hours. Strangest thing I ever saw....

Here...2 weeks after all that....our little guy is still popping up hives under his arms...Luckily, they don't seem to bother him???

At least with all the hives, allergic reactions and fun times... we did learn that Andrew will have an adenoidectomy and his tubes replaced on November 2 at 7 a.m. I am NOT looking forward to that (although it is our hopes and prayers that he will be able to stay off antibiotics!)

Below Andrew is "working" on "his" laptop. This was a few hours after getting his swine flu shot with Mommy...At least he was in good spirits! :)
