1st TOT Performance

This past Tuesday (2/8/11), Andrew had his very first TOT performance. TOT stands for "Teams of Tomorrow" and is a great basketball skills program that he does at his school. He was supposed to perform during the Harlem Globetrotters halftime as well as the Baylor Bears Basketball halftime a few weeks ago, but the flu kept him from doing that.

So, Tuesday at Midway High School was his first performance. Here you can see him sizing up the court and what was to come....

Below is a picture of sister checking out all the noise and commotion...

Here's a shot of Matthew and Andrew talking about the upcoming halftime (or they could have been talking about cars or trains or who knows what...) :) Our good friends Pam McKown and her son Matthew came to cheer Andrew on.

Pam is currently a "tax widow" as her husband, David, is the midst of another grueling tax season. (By the way...if any of you reading this are ever looking for a great accountant - David is your guy!) So this allowed Pam, Matthew, Andrew, Alyssa and me to grab dinner together before heading to the game where we met up with my David.

Here the kids take to the floor. I was sooo amazed how well they all did! Andrew did a really good job and we were so proud of him! He is in the very back row, 2nd from the left. He apparently ran into another one of the parents just before the show so the teachers had to contend with his bloody nose just minutes before hitting the floor. We thought maybe that was why he ran up to one of the teachers during the performance - but it turns out he just wanted to show her his new shoes... KIDS! :)

What a fun and BUSY night. I slept REALLY well that night. Getting around by myself with 2 kids was tough! I even had the help from Pam of helping me cart some of the stuff necessary with a tiny infant - but WOW. I still can't imagine how my mom did it with a 3 year old + twin babies as a single mom. Even with help from others - it's a major undertaking to have one kid but multiples - WOWSERS!!
