This past weekend, we took Andrew to the Baylor Homecoming game. Andrew was fired up for days beforehand in anticipation of going to the football game. Below is a picture of him working on his "Bear Claw"...
The day was pretty bad in terms of weather. The game start was delayed over an hour and a half due to the thunderstorms. Before we could get into the game, we were advised to return to our car since there would be a delay. (I will note that as David went back to get the car while Andrew and I hung out, pretty much every person walking by got a "deer in the headlights" look when they noticed my belly... not very comforting for a 9 month preggo lady!) :)
Because of the weather, we decided to go grab a late lunch/early dinner at a new sports bar & grill in town.
We finally made it to the game and to our seats. Within seconds of getting seated, the rain began to drizzle and Andrew was freezing as it had dropped several degrees. And he wanted popcorn. We convinced him to watch a few minutes of the game since we had made the effort to FINALLY get to the game. Andrew really enjoyed the game but raised the eyebrows of some who were seated around us. Our dear friends Ray & Dianne taught him "Gig 'em, Aggies!" early on. (I don't know if he could talk yet when they started 'brainwashing' him ;o) ) As the rest of the bleachers was rooting for the Bears, our sweet boy hollers, "Gig 'em, Bears!" Oh well... at least we didn't stay in our seats too long since we had to get popcorn for our boy...
After a long day for 45 mins at a football game, we came home pooped. Oh well, that's sports with a 3 1/2 year old! :)
