Today David picked Andrew up a little early from daycare and brought him home for some "hang time" with me. Andrew wanted to have a picnic in "Uncle Jeff's" room (aka: the front living room / media room )...
I thought it would be fun to let Andrew take the reins on our picnic. We first had to fill 3 tupperware storage bowls with water to make "wishing wells" (I didn't ask... I just went with it!). Andrew then picked a blanket and a throw to place our picnic on Then we placed the wishing wells at three of the corners of our picnic blankets.
For our actual picnic, Andrew chose what we would be eating. Leave it to an almost 4 year old...we snacked on 1 string cheese stick, some Lays potato chips, marshmallows and Fruitable juice boxes (not pictured).
That was probably the best picnic I ever had...particularly because my sweet Andrew & I got to share about 30 minutes together talking and being silly together. What a perfect time!
